While we are on the topic, I find the sensitivity of the āautoā wiper modes lack-luster. It is either over-eager or does one wipe every 3 mins. Here in the PNW, where there is a constant mist, I find they struggle to find the right balance.
According to the app, my lowest elevation is -296 ft.
I donāt remember an OTA for āJourney to the Center of the Earthā Mode, but here we are.
Now Iām genuinely curious:
š§ Whoās gone lower?
I was on 21ā OEM tires and picked up a set of 20ā wheels from the forums.
Since the switch I seem to be getting almost exactly 2.0 mi/kWh on the freeway. My estimated range went down 25 miles. Max charge now shows 305 miles of range, which so far has felt pretty accurate.
Apologies for the...
I just put Duelers on my R1T. I only have 600 miles on them, but I like them so far. The road noise difference is not noticeable, and the ride over rough roads is significantly smoother.
I bought from existing inventory (LA Silver), and the listing never mentioned a wrap. When I picked it up, it had a matte wrap. Honestly, I probably never wouldāve paid for one. I didnāt think I was a āmatte guy,ā but I absolutely love it on the truck. Itās so much easier to maintain than I...
Apparently, Seattle screwed up and issued a filming permit to Rivian when they shouldn't have (See link below).

I have these plastic trashbins in each of the door pockets of our Rivians, but they are cheap plastic and rattle around. Anyone find a better solution for trashbins? Having two kids in the back creates a LOT of garbage!
The new service center in South Seattle is amazing. Iāve had 2 issued fixed in the last year, once in Bellevue & once in South Seattle. The service turnaround time in Seattle was much quicker.
My polestar 2 lease is up this month & I was lucky enough to grab a ā24 R1T. So now we are a full Rivian (R1S + R1T) household as well!
Picked it up today & was excited to find out it had the stealth wrap! Maybe I shouldāve read the fine print a little better ?
Rivian service tech said they moved up my appointment to ASAP because there are sensitive components around the foot well that are water āresistantā but canāt handle large amounts of standing water. They plan to fix the leak, replace the carpets, and check all of the nearby components ?

Update: Rivian reached out to me this morning and wanted me to bring in the R1S the same day. My schedule didnāt work for that so Iām bringing it in first thing tomorrow. Nice to have them be so pro-active!
They must have some flag on issues like thisā¦
We actually have the Chilewich, but my wife (It is her daily) primarily parks in our driveway.
Thanks for the tip on leaving the AC as much as possible. Iām in Seattle so that should be easy this time of year!
Just discovered this same issue today ā¹ in our Gen1 R1S.The carpet in the driver and passenger foot wells was soaked & the white mold was starting to appear. I didnāt notice until we came out to the car one morning and the glass roof was dripping with condensation.
I vacuumed a solid pint or...
