I live between the Portland and Seattle areas and was curious if there are better service centers than others. I would hope they all conform to the same standards of care but if not, can anyone give recommendations on where to book my next service appointments?

Both Portland and Tualatin have been great. I had some issues with Bellevue but that was over 2 years ago, hopefully they have improved since then.

I've yet to hear any horror stories from either of the new Seattle area service centers. If the new locations have any of the team from the temporary service center in Auburn, WA, I'd say you'd be in good hands up here. I've got nothing but positive things to say about that location.

Portland is also an excellent option in my opinion.

Lead time might be a factor. I'm closer to the Tualatin service center, but no appointments available, so I booked with Portland. The Soonest available was December 13th.

That being said, I've used the Portland once before. They were good to me with window replacement and found a suspension leak I didn't even know about on the 7500 mile checkup.
They just had to keep the car a couple days while waiting on parts.

ive been to 3 service centers in the Seattle area: Bellevue (the OG), Kirkland (the popup) and Seattle (the new guy). service has been all about the same. they fix most of the issues, they communicate fairly well (that has improved over time), they dont wash your vehicle and they get the vehicle dirty (i find grease marks on the seat, headliner from time to time).

mixed bag but the most important thing is getting the major issues resolved, which they do. the ones they dont are either minor and not under warranty (which i just lave) or they can't replicate.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the Portland Service Center. I haven't been to the Tualatin location, but I understand the parking is a lot better there (Portland SC is right downtown and the parking lot is tight).

My experiences with Portland Rivian? A+

Portland service station has been fantastic the two times I have had to go there (electrical circuit warning and loose door latch issue).

My R1S is currently at the Tualatin service station for 12v battery (had to be towed from the OR coast). This is my first time there, and they have been providing daily updates through the app chat.

Agreed about general excellence in Portland. Absolutely satisfied with Portland SC! All reports from Tualatin are positive as well. When a whole team works well, leaders must be doing a good job. "Steve," who manages Portland and Tualatin, seems friendly and humble; employees seem comfortable with his leadership.

I've received a phone call from Seattle SC once, and I've interacted with a few Seattle SC employees who rotated through Portland SC. My impression is that Bellevue/Seattle SC was overloaded. I don't know if it still is.

I hope this thread is helpful, @Flyinryan!

Staff in both Portland and Bellevue were all awesome, getting an appointment slot however...

If it is an appointment you'd ever be charged for you'll save the sales tax if you head south. I did that to pick up my spare tire.

Much of Seattle owners’ service experiences have been at the Bellevue service center, which was one of the first in the country and massively undersized and overloaded as Rivian grew. While they ran a couple small temporary service centers to try to alleviate the pain, wait times were rough. Rivian has recently opened a new MASSIVE service center on the south side of Seattle which has been getting rave reviews, and I believe I heard the Bellevue location is now primarily used for new deliveries.

Here’s a video tour of the new south Seattle SC,

The new service center in South Seattle is amazing. I’ve had 2 issued fixed in the last year, once in Bellevue & once in South Seattle. The service turnaround time in Seattle was much quicker.

I’ve had a good experience in Bellevue. Very friendly, provided updates, and they completed the service sooner than expected actually ?

New service center on the south side of Seattle has been great so far. Night and day compared to Bellevue even 6 months ago.

Thumbs up to the Rivian Service Center on SW 1st Avenue in Portland, Oregon!
They have taken very good care of my truck twice so far this year.

Once for my 7,500 checkup which was way overdue, where they also caught and replaced a leaking gasket on the front drive unit (under warranty). The second time, they removed and replaced my primary/secondary batteries which were failing (under warranty). That time, they also rotated my tires as requested but for no charge as a customer convenience.

My next appointment in about 8-weeks is set for mid-December to have my power tonneau replaced (under warranty). It stopped working in the closed position, and I'm hopeful this will be the final fix.
