  1. The worst service experience in the industry

Sounds like we've had a similar situation regarding the Volt. Still loved the two Volts we had, but man, when you're in the sticks, there aren't going to be any Voltec Certified Techs for miles. To GM's credit, they put us up for the night, paid for the rental car for two weeks, then had the...
  2. Rear dampers leaking again after 10K miles. Inadequate part for this vehicle?

I'm head in next month (5/25) for the same condition, which appears to have been going on for months, maybe longer, as the cake is covering nearly every component below the damper. Fingers crossed that they perform a warranty replacement because I do take my truck off-road quite often. I've...
  3. Rear Shock Leak - Warranty Denied

100% agree. Most of the warranty repairs (front dampers and air springs, axle shafts, passenger seat, body cladding, hood bracing, missing hardware, antenna) were performed in the first year (delivery was 10/22). ps: I've seen your truck in the PDX SC. If I recall, you're selling and getting a...
  4. Rear Shock Leak - Warranty Denied

Man, that would make ownership miserable. Portland and Tualatin have been decent and I can count on them to make things right, even when they clearly mess up, like busting my roof glass when replacing the antenna/rear roof section due to the antenna failure. There was a significant set of deep...
  5. Rear Shock Leak - Warranty Denied

Thanks for this illustration. My leaks originate from inside the dust cover at the top. I wonder if these dampers are serviceable? Do you happen to have that kind of info?
  6. Rear Shock Leak - Warranty Denied

Wow, what a costly denial of claim. This post got my attention in a frightening way. I've got a SC appointment early next month to have both of my rear dampers assessed (hopefully replaced), as both appear to have been belching out fluid for quite a while. No rock crawling in my case, but...

    Had a great time:)
  8. Rivian Connected Dog Collar Patent

I noticed that too. My office is on Division. I wonder what went into the choice to use SE PDX as their location example in this patent application. Whatever the reason, I found it pretty neat and unexpected.
  9. Rivian Connected Dog Collar Patent

Yeah, I agree. Our Tesla allows for the interior camera which provides us a bit more relief that our pooch is doing okay. Max time in car is 60 minutes for us, but not having the camera feature bugs me a bit. I would also prefer to have more range of temps and airflow to select from as well.
  10. Rivian doesn't cost less to drive on long trips

Sure, for now, as options are limited in terms of a robust distributed selection/competition, then yes, it won't always shake out as less expensive (although it does in many folks' experience). This begs the question- is saving $ chief among the incentives of using/owning an EV? For me, it's...
  11. Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires new release

Which tires are you running? Oh, yeah. I've become numb to the range loss.
  12. Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires new release

I appreciate you making mention of that, if not for me, then for others who might neglect to think about the tolerances in the compartment. IMO the full sized OEM 20"AT's don't enjoy much wiggle room to start with. I have always planned to run my OEM full sized spare BUT I just went through...
  13. Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires new release

Fair enough. The decision would be a lot easier if I could see some aggressive AT's at 285 and 295 mounted up. Same for 60 and 65 profile. I've been in Rally mode and had a bit too much speed heading into some whoops and the combo of sand pushing the front tire deflector and that front corner at...
  14. Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires new release

What size? I'm looking to run LT295/60R20. I want a wider tire patch and this size specs at 33.9" diameter. The 295/65R20's appeal too at 35" however it's then assured to remove "Lowest" from anything other than parked. Considering the significant additional weight of either of these non-EV...

  16. How you save the $10k from not buying the Max Pack if you camp/overland and need range..

    Thanks for sharing!
