  1. My Tesla will remain my road trip car...sns

I have a '23 R1T Quad and a '22 Model S LR. I completely agree with # 1 and 2, having put 46k miles on the Tesla, half of which were on recurring road trips from Western Arkansas to Central Ohio and back. (1,700 mile R/T) The combination of FSD, (awesome at v 12.3.6) the S/C network and...
  2. Over 730miles with a 4,500lb trailer and boat…terrible experience!!!

To anyone considering using your Rivian as a tow vehicle, I recommend doing a short, local pre-run in advance of your long trip so you will know what to expect. I recently towed my tractor on an equipment trailer on several local trips doing post tornado cleanup. These trips did double duty to...
  3. Used my R1T in Tornado cleanup

The Dude The mirrors are small but in this case, the high mounted rear cab mirror kind of made up for it.
  4. Used my R1T in Tornado cleanup

monzarottie You should submit your story to [email protected]. Who knows, you might make it to the owners newsletter. Great suggestion, I just sent it off to them. Thanks!
  5. Used my R1T in Tornado cleanup

We had trees down, but no structure damage. We without power, but the Rivian stepped up there too! I ran our refrigerators, 70ā€ TV, phone chargers and several LED lamps as well as my garage door openers on the Rivian’s 120 vac outlets. -Handy-
  6. Used my R1T in Tornado cleanup

In the aftermath of several tornados (at least 7 reported by the National Weather Service) that ravaged Northwest Arkansas in the early morning hours of May 26, there are tens of thousands of trees scattered widely across miles of commercial and residential properties in our area. I have a...
  7. EV Sportline Running Board Experience

So sorry to hear about your problems. My delivery included both Torx bits and the running boards had no damage. I also found installation to be easy. At 72, I don’t crawl around under vehicles much anymore, but the ride height of the Rivian made it less of a chore. It wouldn’t help this...
  8. I feel like the maps and traffic are getting better...

I’m actually a little disappointed with one aspect of my 2023 R1T maps - the satellite view. On the Rivian it is so outdated, it includes a motor home that I sold in 2018. My Tesla on the other hand, includes changes in my neighborhood that took place in mid 2023. Not the end of the world, but...
  9. This is why I no longer use the Rivian for Long Distance trips.

I have a Tesla and a Rivian. In 2 years of driving my Tesla 40,000 miles, mostly on Interstate highways in the midwest, I've never had to drive more than a mile from the Interstate to get to the charger. As they say, "Your experience may differ..."
  10. Should I return to R1T......... and Trade in 2023 Tesla Model S to lease a new R1T

I have a ā€˜22 Model S Long Range and a ā€˜23 R1T Quad Motor. Love them both for different use cases. I make a 1,400 mile round trip monthly. Tesla is especially good for that. Rivian has great utility but stays local within 100 miles or less. Horses for courses as they say. BTW, I’m 72.
  11. R1T vs Tesla MS

I have a refreshed Model S (not Plaid) and am picking up a Quad Motor R1T tomorrow. It will be a fun comparison! No comparison on range though, 328 claimed on R1T, 405 on Model S.
