Spoke to my local Discount Tire today. They said they’ve rotated Rivian tires before, but no one has asked them to include all 5. Said it’s about $10 per tire. They also said they won’t touch a tire if it’s 10 years old.
I’m over 7500 miles, and waiting for a call back to schedule service. Do you all recommend rotating 4 tires or 5, and moving the spare into rotation?
He said to sort of “prime” it. Start with the adapter just inserted half an inch, then insert fully in one motion, not pushing too hard. If it doesn’t click into
place, repeat until it does. Heard it click about the 4th or 5th try, which then allowed me to lock it. Guy said it should work...
Couldn’t get my adapter to lock onto a Tesla charger, so I emailed @A2ZEV. One of their support people called me the next day, and gave me his cell to FaceTime the next time I was able to try. Showed me a trick, and works great now. Very impressed with their service.

Good to know. Only drive about 70 miles and hadn’t noticed the temp go that high. Outside temp is 75, so wasn’t sure. Truck says outside temp is 86, which is way off.
This happened to me repeatedly yesterday while backing up my trailer…the only way I could figure out to avoid it was to have my left foot on the brake while backing up. I’m sure there is another way…does anyone know?
To be honest, I never paid attention because gas stations are everywhere. Definitely cut the mileage in half, but then it went back up when I dropped the boat in the water. Said the trailer was 7500 lbs, and mileage when charged at 100% would be 137.
Charged to 100%…gonna pick up the boat and drop it in the lake. Interested to see how much the battery draws down. Lake is about 55 miles from my house, but have to grab it from winter storage location.
Neither Quincy nor Moses Lake had the adaptors…we looked at both. They’re showing on the network, but no dice yet. I had 1 mile left when I arrived to Ritzville, and am using an Electrify America charger that is running 331 per hr. Barely made it.
Picked up my R1T in Bellevue, WA. I live in Spokane…about 280 miles east. They tell me to charge at the Tesla station near George, but none of the 8 stations had an adaptor. They told me at the pickup location that most of the Tesla stations had adaptors. So I limp to a chargers in Moses...
