This happened to me repeatedly yesterday while backing up my trailer…the only way I could figure out to avoid it was to have my left foot on the brake while backing up. I’m sure there is another way…does anyone know?

Keep your seat belt on and butt planted in the seat.

So both are required?
I don't think so, but I believe the seat belt being buckled will override the butt lift detection. Many have been hit for lifting their butts off of the seat while backing. I don't think it takes much.

I believe the seat belt is top priority over butt sitting.
