1500 degrees.

Around 70 degrees is optimal, so 90 is still fine.

Good to know. Only drive about 70 miles and hadn’t noticed the temp go that high. Outside temp is 75, so wasn’t sure. Truck says outside temp is 86, which is way off.

The software didn't allow us to see the battery temp yet last summer so I'm simply comparing it to what we know it likes from winter, after that update gave us those readings.

It gets over 100 fairly often here in the summer and you really hear and feel the battery fighting to stay cool on those days. Using a DCFC on those days is slower because it wants to cool down first.

I have seen it as high as 120F when its really hot and after fast charging. Never seen it limit power as a result though. It was just at 102F with a 50F ambient after fast charging while towing. 120F is on the upper end of the optimal range so I am not concerned In the least.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
I’ve seen it go over 100, then wondered what would happen when we go to the next charge location. Answer is pretty simple - when it went into preconditioning, the temp came back down to about 75. Up again while charging, and repeat.

Like CODogman said, we only semi-recently got this visibility, so it was probably reaching these temps before and we had no clue.

I regularly see between 70 - 90. I have personally seen as high as 109. I am not worried at all about the temps thanks to the 8 year / 175,000 mile warranty.

The answer to your question is on the very gauge you are looking at.

I’ve had battery temp up to 120. There are red lines on the gauge, those are your guidelines for all the gauges. It will let you know when a problem arises.

My battery has been starting at 90° just from sitting in my garage (Arizona)

Not a concern at all.

Yeah, I saw the red line, but wasn’t sure how confident I was with it. Figured I’d ask around, anyway.

If not experiencing malfunctions and warnings, there is zero need for concern. Warnings are programmed in and triggered when conditions are met.

Even that gauge is just for guidance. You will get a real warning on your driver screen if there is a real issue. That gauge in infotainment is just that. I say don’t worry about things unless an actually warning comes on and just enjoy.

Today after fast charging my R1T went to 131 degrees and it limited power. I parked and after a few minutes it went below 130 and once it was down to 120 I got back on the road. It eventually went down to 105. It was a 86 degree day here. Just wondering if this was common?
