You should report your experience to Rivian. It sounds like someone should not be in sales or working as a guide. Most Rivian employees would not have told you something like that.

When we ordered our 2025 R1S last August, the Dark Ashwood was a $700 adder for Large & Max packs. We specifically watched for the Dark Ashwood because a lot of the builds at that time were Black Mountain without Dark Ashwood.
I wrote the note about my wife's iPhone having the same audio problem as you, but my iPhone working perfectly with the audio on our Rivian R1S.
You could also try turning off the Rivian app on your phone and activating the Rivian from the KEY CARD ONLY and see if the audio / speakers work then.
