My new Gen2 DM Max seems to turn off the two USB-C charging ports thus making my gear guard drive stop working. A soft reboot restarts them but it happens all the time after the car goes to sleep. Is this happening to anyone else?

That is very odd as I just picked my Gen2 DM Max with VIN 55xxx and it is the way the Gen 1 was with the flap and the USB ports and the cup holder in front of it. I wonder why they didn't do all of them the same way. Guess they used up the inventory and I got the covers.

I did a soft reboot and the USB ports started working again. I had to reinstall my gear guard drive to get Gary to start watching again. Seems to be working now. Try that.
