Spend a lot of time driving around Seattle and Vancouver. Everything works flawlessly. When you cross the border, KPH automatically is added in addition to MPH even if you dont change the units settings. WIll disapear when you cross back in the US. Everything works including Hotspot and...
IMO, If the question is what is the correct side? it is the right side of the vehicle. Think curbside charging. R1 and Tesla only factored in garage parking but in the future, public charging solutions would for easily be accomodated on the right side. Bikes and cars coming down the street...
I complained about the multi location home setting to the Service agent again and he metinioned that it they continue to get requests to add the feature. For whatever that's worth, "it should be on a future update". I will hurry up and wait.
Ontario will be a very big market for Rivian I predict. Big population, 15 million people and very tech forward. Will help keep the momentum going. About time.
Was un a conversation with a few colleagues in the Midwest out my choice to by an Rivian. My first response was because it's cool AF. A first class piece of tech and one of the most capable vehicles money can by. Then went into how this was my first American car in 20 years. Tesla, Rivian...
Exact same issue! I just took delivery and about 48 hrs later the exact thing you mentioned happened. Must be some sort of sensor issue but wondering how you resolved it? I have a service ticket out but haven't heard back as I sent it last night.
Thanks for the tip, found the disable setting. Problem is the it happened at my second home as well. Not a huge deal and nothing some fine tuning through an OTA won't fix.
Just picked up my R1S a couple of days ago. All great except for one issue. You guesed it my phone unlocks the car from inside the house as i'm walking around. upstairs and downstairs, and has forced me to disable my phone for proximity locking. I have another place and drove here yesterday...
A few weeks ago my delivery window was moved up from April-Jun 24 to January 2024. Yesterday I received a notification to start my delivery process. Awesome but huh?. How can they be so off? Anyway, won't complain but wondering what the order file looks like if they can move it up so much.
"The acceleration is....... nice?" Goes to show the use case is different for everyone. I'm used to driving 2 seat sports cars and high powered sedans and my concerns are that the R1S is too big. No dogs, kids out of the house, etc. but the Riv is so cool! Not for everybody so recommendation...
Interesting post. I had my "First Mile" drive a few days ago and this is the very first thing I noticed. Even looked down to see if it was there. A subtle detail and never expected anyone to flag that but it's good to see people on this forum continue try to make a great vehicle even better.
I was one of those invitees for Portland even though I'm in the Seattle area. Contacted Rivian and they told me that there is no plan to start the first mile at the Bellevue SC in the foreseeable future. Oh well, not the first vehicle I bought without a test drive.
