Just got back from an overlanding trip in the desert for 3 days with temps hovering around 100 each day. Have tint shade on roof glass and tint all around. Worked beautifully and cooled fast. Can vouch for that being a huge help.
So got the truck back. Bellevue SC was great (spoke with Michael the rep there). Car is tracking straight as an arrow now, covered second alignment under warranty even though over 8k miles now on the vehicle, so only paid for tire rotation. Only minor thing was they said they were gonna wash...
Nope, irrespective of height from lowest to highest, all are resulting in vehicle going right pretty aggressively with wheel dead straight. So after talking to the rep at the Bellevue SC, he mentioned that they are prioritizing alignments, and that I should call back to see if I can reschedule...
Your guess is as good as mine. The local SC is near my work and I was gonna stop by tomorrow and ask if they knew of anywhere else local. I’ll report back.
Person I talked to did. Literally said “I know this absurd but the earliest I can get you in is June. You may want to try another shop in the area.”
They told me it may be better to get an external shop to do it faster but didn’t mention it being under warranty and don’t have any in our area to list where I could go. Anyone get their truck aligned in the Seattle area not at the Bellevue SC? I should note that on the work order for my first...
Oh man I didn’t get that nice readout from them! Got an alignment about 1000 miles ago and now it’s back to being terrible again (aim left drift right like everyone else here). They said they can’t get me in until JUNE now! ?
I mean it was bad (I’m currently getting our family SUV fixed after nanny nailed a curb ?) but my heart goes out to Buffalo, Eastcoast, Michigan, etc. rest of the country that got it way worse. Still read that something like 250 wrecks in 24 hours in King County ?‍♂️… feel like I saw half of...
Hahaha totally missed this thread until now. My bro lives in Ridgefield and his neighbor snapped this pic of you and sent it to me. Small world! ? You inspired me as well!
Super interesting especially considering after this last cold snap and then warming here in the PNW I’ve been getting pinged to up my pressure. Cold the tires are around 44psi but heat up to the recommended 48 or so in 40-45 degree ambient temps. Gonna try a similar route before and after...
I have a heat gun on the ready in case this happens and have yet to be required to use it (***carefully***) but I can definitely see this being possible especially as we dip into the teens tonight.
I have our truck wrapped in XPEL Fusion which has a light ceramic coat baked in (headlights and bar too) and thus far have had zero problems with caking.
+1 on caking blades and deep pocket below. But great to hear you were able to navigate Snoqualmie that easily! Might see you up there soon ? Was up that way a couple weekends ago and came across another yellow R1T on the drive back.
Perhaps it’s Stek as a product then. If it was truly ceramic infused like the Xpel product on our Rivian, day 1 didn’t come close to how hydrophobic and easy to clean the newer xpel product is. Midnight was ceramic over traditional 3M PPF. To this day 3+ years later is still performing like day...
