$1133 Registration Renewal in CA...ouch!

I wasn't expecting the second year to be MORE expensive than the first.

In my experience, the price to rereg goes down as a vehicle ages. Presumably this is due to some combination of weight, value and EV status?

I thought registration was a flat fee in PA. I am looking to have delivery this summer so good to know if it is more expensive in PA.

That is one of the reasons we left California, high property taxes, gas taxes, sales taxes, income taxes. Everything is more expensive in CA.
