I asked mobile service once a few months ago and they mentioned the local SC won't patch tires. I plugged it myself but maybe guidance has changed with SC patches.

Nope. I've two flats fixed for free at America's/Discount Tires. In both cases, they removed the tire from the wheel and patched it from the inside. The policy is to instill consumer confidence so that you buy tires from them in the future. They have my loyal business. And yes, they did have pucks.That sounds a little high but not a rip-off and about what I'd expect from BMW or other premium brands, especially for a high labor cost state like CA & NY. I'm not sure if these are all for external-only plug prices, but if Rivian is installing an internal plug or a push-through with an internal patch (safer and better), that alone accounts for a $170 add. A free DT tire patch is almost certainly a push-through external plug, possibly with the wheel still attached.
