180 R1S/R1Ts heading to Chicago!

There are going to be a lot of happy Midwesterners in the next few weeks. I had my R1T in the Chicago SC to fix tailgate not automatically opening. Great service and people btw. One of the agents was at his computer and looked at the agent next to him and said "You read this? The factory is shipping us 180 units next week. We are going to be busy!"

I asked how many they normally get and he said it's in the 20-30 range but "production has really been ramping up."

Frankly not really sure where they are going to put that many vehicles there but obviously there's room. Anyway, thought I'd share for those in the area hoping to see their vehicle soon.

PS- he also said Rivian's first overseas SC will be in Amsterdam opening next spring. Thought that was interesting as well.

Yah. My guide who always just parrots the company talking points told me the latest one: 'keep an eye on my inbox!'. The company is running out of time to meet their delivery goals before year end so Chicago probably won't be the only SC flooded with vehicles...

Exactly. They want to please Wall Street and investors. They only have 15 production weeks left if the fiscal year ends December 31st.

We have friends living in Germany. She told my wife one of their friends is in the process of having an R1S shipped there that their family has either already taken delivery of or is scheduled to. Next time my wife talks to her I'm going to ask for more details. My first thought was good luck getting service, but maybe they are going to have an option sooner than I thought.
