Nitto Recon Grappler comes in 275/65r20 and the P size in less than 48lbs. I have the 60 ratio size on my truck (coming from 21's) and my efficiency went from 2.1 with the OEM 21's to 1.9, which isn't bad at all. Also they balance incredibly easy and I love the look.

I installed a set of LT275/60R20 Yokohahama Geolandar G015 AT. These match the OD of the 21" wheel and tire combo at 33" OD, but the combo is MUCH heavier (98lbs vs. 79 lbs). Compared to my highway AS tires I am seeing about a 10% efficiency drop in city driving and 30% highway --it's not great. This is at 50 psi all around. I'll have a better sense of the true drop in a couple more days after I've repeated my "efficiency" loop a couple times. The real benefit is these tires were only $805 including installation after price matches, manufacturer discounts, and other discounts at Discount Tire.

I will likely repeat the tests with higher pressures, but I really hate to do that because it will impact stability at highway speeds. There is a P-Metric version of this tire that is much lighter and should yield similar range to the OEM AS tires, however the load rating is only 115 so it can be difficult to find an installer willing to do it. Yokohama has a 30-day, 1000 mile satisfaction guarantee so if I decide to return them I may inquire about getting the P-Metric installed.

For those that have switched from the 20” Pirelli Scorpion, what did you switch to and how has the range been affected? The Falken WildPeak tires are high on my list but they are a lot heavier than the Pirellis. Are there better options out there?
I am only contributing directly about the tire. I had these tires on my Envoy (although in a different size), and after 8 months to a year, I had to get them all replaced. Weekly rebalancing, belts breaking or slipping.

I would not buy these tires.

The Toyo Open Country C/T have done about 11k miles on our rig, taking an absolute floggggging every moment of the day.

Towing, offroad aired down into the high 20s, on road, road-trips…. No issues.

Can’t say I’d try any other tire, prefer to use something designed for the oil fields / mine sites and never stress.

Which version did you go with the 20x9 or the 20x10?

Also what tire sizes do you settle on 275/60/20

Any pics from the side to see how far the wheels tires poke outside the fenders
