Saw you make the turn that way and was hoping to run into you at Costco. Yep, I'm on preorder with delivery to HI. Hopefully Rivian stays relatively true to the Q3/Q4-2024 timeline. I've waited this long, what's another year. Though I admit seeing you drive around gave me the itch.
You have any friend on mainland in CA or OR? There are presently 23 Rivian in entire state that Rivian is aware of, either through owner advising or service work. I am not in that number as I have not advised them or had a service request yet. From my contact in Bend, will send photo of his frunk liner signed by RJ and entire build team, I was advised that deliveries to pre-orders in HI are not high on que. I was advised to change my delivery to OR, in my case. I have run into 5 other HNL owners and all did same thing- some to CA. I understand that not everybody has contacts in CA and OR. Rivian does understand HI is big emerging market for them. So are a lot of mainland markets- we both understand HI is challenging logistic wise. I would almost guarantee you that with a change of delivery location and your pre-order number you would have a truck in 8 weeks- excluding HI delivery time. Give the light blink if ya see me again.

Dropped mine off today at Rivian Service. It's not the charger as I have tried two different adapters and on top of that it trips my mobile charger as well. With the mobile it even trips my GFI too. It seems to be an issue tied to the vehicle sleep as it only seems to happen in the evenings and has only started since this last update. Sometimes the charge port gets really hot too, but not always. If I get an error and walk into the garage with my phone, it wakes up and starts charging again, so clearly tied to some sort of vehicle deep sleep mode. App wake up works too, but I'm tired of having to check my app every 5-minutes to ensure that it's charging as it's supposed to. Fingers crossed they figure this out.

I'm hoping someone in HI has the right connections to check status on possible Rivian service centers. I recall seeing someone say that they did see some inquiries from Rivian a few while back. At this point in time, I'm ok with waiting. I imagine they'll have the auto tonneau back in play by then. Likely heading up to Hanalei this weekend. Will keep an eye out for ya.

yes, they are looking in HNL and have contacted Hensel Phelps, the construction compant
y my son in law is emp.owed. They are looking for land or a building that can be remodeled. They tend to locate in city centers. PDX center opened last week and in downtown Portland, an area where everyone else is moving out of?‍♂go figure.
