Yesterday I took delivery of my 2024 Glacier White Dual Large R1T with Ocean Coast interior, and I love it! This is my first EV, so I expect a learning curve with it, though so far it's been pretty intuitive and easy to operate. Everything I've tested seems to work great, with one possible exception - and I'm hopeful that's just an ID-10T error from the driver-seat occupant (me).

I used the comprehensive delivery checklist @Electrified Outdoors shared to help make sure I'd thoroughly inspected my new ride. My delivery guide (Cory at the Orlando SC) was very patient and helpful as I tested everything on the list. The only thing he and I could not get to work was the USB-C ports on the rear display. The 120V outlet below them works fine, and the seat back USB-C ports both work fine as do the ports inside the center console, but we were unable to get the ones on the rear display to deliver power to my phone.

Is there a setting in the SW that turns these on and off? We looked for ways using the rear display and the main display, but nothing we tried had the effect of energizing those ports.

One nice surprise I noticed was the cameras. I've read in many places that the Gen 1 cameras are not that good, and I'm sure the Gen 2 cameras are better, but from my perspective, the Gen 1 cameras are easily the best I've ever had and work great. Showing the truck off to some friends last night left them impressed with the cameras as well.

FYI - the checklist I used: https://www.electrifiedoutdoors.com/rivian/rivian-delivery-checklist

Congrats on your purchase!

Under the energy/ charge icon on your screen, there is an option to turn on the outlets for a specified number of hours. Once you do that, all rear outlets will be on (for the duration you choose)

Thanks!

Well, that's not good news. I believe we did do this during the inspection, and the default timer was set to 3 hours. We needed to do this to test the power at the 120V outlets, all of which worked. If this also powers the USB-C ports, then my truck will need service to fix the ports in the rear screen. That's a bummer, but not the end of the world by any stretch. At least passengers in the back seat will have access to the seat-back USB-C ports if they need them.

Thanks!

I don't recall the default timer but if you can, try it again to confirm if it works now.

If not, of course like you mention, you may need a service call

Congratulations! GW with OC is a great combo and Dual Large is a really good value IMO. Glad you found the list helpful. There is no way to turn off those ports that I am aware of. You could try full rebooting the truck, but most likely its an issue with a connector.

Full/hard reset/reboot hold down the far left steering wheel button and the hazard button at the same time until it reboots.

Hopefully they can get a mobile service for you to resolve that.

The 120v outlets are powered by an inverter unit under the passenger front seat. The USB ports should have power anytime the vehicle is in a ready/on state.

Agree 100% here. USB ports are always powered when the truck is “on”.

This is a warranty issue with your truck @schlosrat. Hopefully they can fix via mobile service.

Thanks guys! I gotta say, I'm really grateful there's such a nice owners community! Great place to ask questions and seek answers. I'm learning more every day, and this little tid bit is definitely good to know.

I'll follow up with the SC. They noted the issue when I took delivery so it shouldn't be too hard to get it sorted.

Does not apply to the USB c ports.
