21 inch wheels discontinued - why?

We have an R1S with 21 in all season road tires. We don't take our R1S off roading at all, so no need for beefy tires. I'm interested in adding an R1T to our house. I went to the Rivian store in Seattle today, and they said they are no longer offering 21 inch wheels. They also don't offer all season tires for the 22 inch wheels. I chose the 21s because we don't off road, they are quiet, they work in all seasons, and they get the most range. Does anyone know why they stopped offering these options? Thanks.

AFAIK the 22 range coming on the gen 2 come with all season

Think @strykerwsu meant ‘ton of takeoffs for sale’, meaning lots of people are selling their 21s to switch to either 20” or 22”…. I agree, you’ll be able to find sets of 21s available on the secondary market.

And if you're patient, you can find a set of 21" wheels with the tire pressure monitors and basically new tires for less than buying replacement tires for your R1S.

just do a search on here. I remembered seeing some guy selling a whole set of 21" with good tires for less than 1K.

Cancelled because they wanted to simplify and no one else has a 21 inch tire. Switch to 20 or 22” in the future and get all season choices.

Funny you mention the 21's... I'm prepping for November delivery of my G²R1T³. Just got my "stealth" crossbars and these gloss black 21's (5 of them) with the Michelin Defender Tire.

Hope the 21's will get me closer to 400 miles. Plan to have the 22's for warm weather driving.

The 21's are my favorite design with the cover off. It just sucked we were limited to 1 tire option now 2. I changed over to 20's on 275 60 R20 and feel this should have been the stock configuration as the ride is amazing and the options for tires are endless.

Really excited to see these with the black pack. Think the new R1T/S will be next level good looks on the road.
