'23 R1S hood won't automatically close - suggestions?

A week ago, I had mobile service address an issue where the hood opens automatically but will not close automatically under any circumstances. Like, it doesn't move at all when you press the front physical button, the center screen button, or try to close the hood on the app. The hood closes and locks fine when operated manually, but I'm confused why the service tech said it was fixed (they replaced both hood actuators) and it stopped working a few days later.

Is it possibly related to the sub-freezing temps? There's no error saying there is an obstruction, if that was the case would it be obviously displayed on the screen? I'm wondering if anyone knows of things I can check myself to see if it's somehow user error before I request another service visit. Software is up-to-date and hard reset doesn't change anything.

I saw a post on this same topic from 2024 with no obvious resolution, so I'm hoping someone else has had this issue and found the root cause. Thanks!

Probably a dumb question, but just to be sure, is there any chance the power hood operation got turned off?

Correct, hood does not close when the power hood operation is turned on. The way I get it to close now is after opening it automatically, I turn off the power hood then close it manually. I think I read somewhere that its bad for the mechanicals to close it manually while the power hood operation is on.

Does it start to move, then go back up? Or does it not move at all?
