Update:

we flew out on the evening of June 30, and the R1s was showing 303 miles of range.
In the app this morning - July 12 - with the Shipping Mode On, it’s showing 296 miles of range.

if that’s accurate, and is a comprehensive representation of total battery drain, I was clearly worried for no reason.
Wow - that was a tiny drain!

Just out of curiosity, which battery do you have? I believe the 2025 standard battery is LFP while the large and max are NMC. If you have the standard battery, i understand Rivian’s comment about charging to 100% (LFPs are happy being charged to 100).

While a single cell NMC is happiest at 50% charge and are shipped that way, I have to think Rivian knows its battery control system better than anyone. If they say charge to 100% for long term storage, I would do it.

Gen 1 Large and I lose about 1%/day when either parked at home or at the airport lot. I have GG off in both locations. So if I leave, I'll charge to 80% and expect it to be in the upper 50s when I get back. I haven't set shipping mode.

As others have said, If you have a regular 110 household circuit close by, you can also set your charge level to 50 or 60% and then leave the truck plugged into the travel charger. The battery will then drain until that 50 or 60% and then stay there.

I wonder if phantom drain will become less after Connect+ expires. If so, it’s one good reason not to subscribe. My 2026 dual max averages daily parked loss about 1.8 kWh, which is over 1% of 140 kWh battery, for doing nothing.

I went to Europe for 10 days. Left my Tri in the driveway at 100%. Came home to 79%. Cameras were on and there is probably a lot of motion because my neighbor's driveway is close to my Rivian.

Went on holiday 13Dec parking my Gen2 R1S TM @ DFW airport at 0530 with 78% SOC. Family & I returned 26Dec @1500 with vehicle at 67% SOC.
Rivian R1T R1S 30-day no-use // how much battery drain? Depart
Rivian R1T R1S 30-day no-use // how much battery drain? Return

The avg. temp in DFW during this period was 59 degrees. Granted, it wasn't as cold as other parts of the country. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised to have lost <1% SOC per day with GG on(& pre v.46.0 update). First time ever parking my TM outside overnight.

Parked in my own garage for past 4 days with nothing on, no motion or live cams. Where’s almost 15 kWh gone?
