Gen 1 non meridian and finally I can listen to Bohemian Rhapsody again on Apple Music with Dolby Atmos. Previous releases made it sound like I was on the mixing board (or whatever they call it in the studio) where some of the vocals or instrumentals were completely missing.

Are you going to run some sound tests and post new EQ settings?
The sound tests are other guys. I am eagerly awaiting their results. For now it’s just what sounds good to my ears and crowd sourcing other people’s EQs. The new system needs a lot less finessing than the old one tho!

R1S Gen 2 with standard audio. When purchased in August, the audio was muddy, flat and as disappointing as everyone said it was. With the October update, and now with yesterday’s update, it is now light years better. I enjoy sitting in the car and listening to music, instruments are separated and clear, sound stage is now present, and no more mud, bass is as strong as I want (even with no subwoofer) even on flat eq settings. I am not an audio geek, but I am a very picky engineer, and I declare this issue solved (at least on gen 2 base audio). Good job Rivian!
Hi, Gen 2 standard audio as well, can you share the settings on your audio? Thanks

Is it just me or is anyone else noticing better sound quality after the update?
3D Surround and Dynamic still don’t do very much, but I think I’m getting better sound quality now. Maybe…

This is hopeful... Thanks

Hello to all, Just picked up my '25 Trimax Ascend with "Premium" audio on Monday. Love the vehicle, amazing. I was really disappointed in the sound of the system and spent most of yesterday trying to figure out how to improve the audio. It really was disappointing and I was grateful to all on this forum that provided information and guidance to improve it.
I knew a software update was happening last night and I noticed the improvement in sound quality immediately! I am hoping this also improves the poor FM reception performance. Kudos to Rivian for understanding the importance of music to the ears.
Enjoy!

Jealous you got the update already. I picked mine up yesterday. Still on old version. The audio isn't horrible, but definitely worse than my Defender with Meridian Surround.

Hoping the update makes a noticeable difference.
