Does anyone else's vehicle seem to struggle with math at 97% and above?

When charging to 100%, the displayed range on my Rivian stops increasing when I hit 97% The percentage continues to increase, but the miles stop moving. The same thing happens on the way down. When starting at 100%, the displayed range remained does not start decreasing until the % drops to 97.

It isn't a fluke, every time I charge 100% I see this.

Charging:
Rivian R1T R1S 97% 1726290401041-pg

Driving:

Rivian R1T R1S 97% 1726290611874-ns

Here is a long drive, where I divided the range by the charge percent. It is quite steady up until 97% where it plummets (because the range stops moving).

I noticed this last week also when charging out of town, it hit 97% with the maximum "epa" range, but went up 2% more with no range increase. Either the math is wrong or that's battery degradation factored in or maybe something else.

Most of the numbers on the dash are more of a guide. Think of them like the TV weatherman; rarely correct in the end.

My 23 quad is similar. Range maxes at 316, percent at 100. I can drive 10 miles or so before the range drops, but the percent has already gone down a couple. I could have sworn when I ordered the range on the website was listed over 320, but has HaveBlue said, those numbers are right as often as tv weathermen.

I don't expect the displayed range to be accurate, but I do expect some sort of consistent, logical behavior.

The abrupt change at 97%, and the gradual decline in miles per percent at lower states of charge makes it seem like Rivian is trying to hide something.

If charging from 10 to 11% adds 3.3, mi, then charging from 50 to 51%, and 99 to 100% should also each add 3.3 mi.

Or does anyone think that the vehicle actually suddenly becomes super inefficient at high states of charge? Due to reduced regen, it would be reasonable for there to be a slight decline at the top. But you certainly get way more than 0 mi between 97 and 100%.

And why does the miles per percent calculation slowly reduce at lower states of charge?

Tesla got lots of bad press (and lawsuits) when people pointed out that they were messing with the percent to mi numbers. Is Rivian also trying to mislead people?
