Guys, this saga has been ongoing for a few weeks. I originally posted this thread: Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) in Denver area…recommendations? | Rivian Forums - R1T R1S R2 Owners, News, Discussions, RIVN Stock. Short story - I was hit in a parking lot and came out to a huge dent and 2 smaller dents in my back bumper 2 weeks after taking delivery of my brand new R1T. I searched for the best PDR person I could find that not only had but was willing to work on a Rivian. Well, I found him - Koby LeBlount of KCL Creations did an amazing job on my truck and you literally cannot tell it from new. It took him over 6 hours to complete his work, but I had the truck back the same day. It was expensive, but worth it. Highly recommended, Koby is a magician! Here are some before/after pics:

Glad you got it fixed...it looks perfect. Will keep this thread pinned in case I need it in the future.

Curious how expensive it was. No need to share if you don't want to though. Can you claim with insurance and just pay your deductible?

I usually don't claim anything with insurance unless it's a few thousand dollars. Typically not worth it along with the claim and premium increase. The large dent was $900, the 2 small dents were $95 each. So total I paid just under $1200. It was probably on the top end of the quotes I received, but the results speak for themselves.

PDR professionals are exactly that, professional. It's like an artist at work and like you, I have one primary person and a back-up. Every year they come to remove dings from my wifes car.....a door ding has been a violation to me since I was 16......

Dang, not bad at all.

Did he Ave to remove anything to fix?
Oh yes the entire bumper, all the sensors, everything had to come off for him to access the panel. I told him to not show me….

In the forums I trust!

@DTown3011 at your recommendation earlier this year I had Koby do some work on my truck last Friday.

Some gutter-trash cut all my bike locks on my way back from a trip to CA and stole my MTB … and on top of that scratched the Tailgate and Rear driver side panel and left some dents as he was busy thieving. Gear guard caught the whole thing but of course no alarm … I filed a police report and uploaded the videos but hold no hope they’ll find him. Thinking about running his face through one of those experimental AI facial recognition sites and giving the police a hand … we’ll see.

So insurance quoted me $4,500 and 4 to 6 weeks in April/May next year To remove the dents and scratches and repaint the panel with the dent and scratch. Decided I had to try something else.

So I trusted in the forums and reached out to Koby. Within 30 minutes he’d looked at the photos, gave me some options and we scheduled it for PDR.

My dents were nowhere as bad as yours but the scratches were unsightly. In 2.5 hours Koby made it all disappear and used the Rivian paint pens with some buffing to blend it all in.

Now that my first scratch is out of the way maybe I can relax a little in parking lots. I swear the unusualness of the vehicle creates “target focus” in people’s minds … Gear Guard hasn’t helped … every time someone parks next to me no matter how much space I leave them they wildly swing their doors open. Not seeing it was probably better than seeing it now on GG and has me super anxious.

Back to the topic at hand … I couldn’t be happier and recommend Koby to anyone with a PDR issue. He’s fast AND a magician and great customer service as well.

That's a small fraction of what replacement would cost. Thank you very much for posting this. After reading the post about this technique used on a Rivian in Florida, I thought "I wish we had someone in CO that good." Apparently we do!
I'm going to bookmark this thread and hope I never have to use it.

wow - I wish he was in NJ/PA area. I was hit in the back as well and not have great success with the PDR. I now need to make a decision on full body work, or try to find a better PDR specialist
