The manual cover is individual pieces (planks) that you lift in and out.

Thanks. Any idea what material the four planks are made of? Rivian chat is no help and I chose this option for my build.

I'm guessing they are something like my old Chevy Avalanche bed cover panels but they will be smaller and slide in the bed cover slot instead of use latches like the Avalanche. Saw it said the intent is to be able to stow them in the gear tunnel.

One thing I'm concerned with is the pics posted here after playing in the desert with a closed bed and the huge amount of dust that got in. From that I assume it isn't even vaguely "watertight" but hope I'm incorrect?‍
