Curious if you got the wood trim behind the front seat head rests. Since you have Launch Edition I am hoping you got them.

I do not think it is an LE thing but a date thing. I picked mine up on 1/26/2023, vin 166x, manufactured 10/22 and it has the wood trim behind the front headrests.

I think you’re on to something here. Mine is 17xx, built in October 22 as well, and has the wood too.

My 2022 VIN is 32xx. Not sure when it was manufactured, but I'm pretty sure it's one of the last 2022 models, since I haven't seen anyone post a VIN that high.

I am for the most part not a green vehicle person, but the Rivian just looks amazing. It's just a stellar color on the R1S, like the perfect shade of green, works perfectly with the interior - but there's also something about the, I guess call it, the whole "vibe" of the vehicle that the color compliments (if that makes sense - even outside the sort of obvious, EV == GREEN).

Cool thanks!…. Do you have a 2023 model year? My vin is a 2023 and I am in the 500’s as far as builds…hope to have the wood. I will know this week as it is when I get mine delivered. I will update this thread as soon as I can!

No, mine is a 2022 built 10/2022, I have no plans to be selling mine so model year did not matter to me. I just wanted to make sure I got the configuration I wanted.

By the way, I have a question for R1S owners. Is there a preferred location for the cross bars when not in use? I just put them on for the first time this morning, and I thought middle and back latches looked like the best for placement. Not too concerned about the range hit keeping them on. I like the way they look.
I installed my cross bars the same way... personally, I think it looks better this way.

...I am absolutely amazed by this vehicle. The instant acceleration and torque are intoxicating. The handling around corners at high speed seems to break the laws of physics. The style is unique, aggressive yet friendly. The Meridian sound system has me wanting to re-listen to all of my old favorite music for sounds I never knew were there. The frunk...so convenient. I never knew I needed a frunk until I had one.

Launch green with forest edge interior looks so good together. Forest edge is worth the upgrade, imo. It is rich and beautiful.

Here's another testimonial to a great delivery experience and an excellent vehicle with no issues.

I know a lot of people have answered questions and posted photos at this point, but if anyone needs anything answered or has specific photo requests, let me know and I'll try to accommodate.

Tolland.
BTW I had an R1T preorder in Mar2019 (about the same time I gambled on the Nikola Badger). Switched to the S Mar2022.

Nice. I have a buddy in West Hartford with an R1S. We'll have to plan a local get together in the summer.

I like the look as well, but I’ve had mine off for a couple of weeks. As info, the cross bars and Maxtrax fit easily in the frunk if you ever need to stow them there-
