I have a 2022 R1T and randomly the air compressor does not stop at the set PSI. I have to manually stop it or it will just keep inflating. This has happened several times and I've inflated my tires well past 48 psi. The compressor screen does read the higher psi and once it's stopped, it won't start again because it's past 48.

Service is taking a look at it.

Not sure if this is specifically happening to you, but this can be a user error. The sequence to follow is a bit quirky.

Specifically, read the note in the manual, below. "ENSURE YOU SEE SET AGAIN TO FILL ANOTHER OBJECT. IF THE TARGET IS NOT SET, THE AIR WILL FLOW FREELY AND CONTINUOUSLY"

If it ain't flashing "SET" while inflating, it ain't in setpoint mode.

That said, I have noticed it can sometimes overshoot on mine if I have an airleak somewhere and it causes it to miscalculate the volume of what you're filling.

Ahhh - thanks all! This thread is timely.

I’ve encountered the over inflating issue this past weekend and encountered the air leak issue yesterday.

I’m really liking the air chuck. I need to pick up a few to add to my other pumps.

Yeah, the first time I used the compressor, I overfilled the second tire. Set the target pressure and properly filled the first tire, moved to the 2nd tire and incorrectly assumed it would keep the same set point. No biggie, lesson learned.

Just used mine again last night to fill the tires on my dad’s Camry, setting the compressor to 35 psi before starting to fill each tire - connect hose to tire, set psi, start compressor…

I ran into this problem when I first used it and now follow these instructions and it works fine every time.

Service told me that the original compressor interfaces had issues and there is a new replacement module available specifically for the R1T. They said they would take a look and may upgrade my truck to the new module.
