Same. In particular backing downhill down my driveway. Clicks the whole time. Doesn't bother me much as long it isn't going to cause damage or become a bigger problem.
Sometimes a warning message will pop up saying damage can be caused if driving when adjusting, so not clear when to drive and when not to.

It does make some noise, but shouldn't be crazy. Make sure you have your foot off of the brake.
I also (gently!) nudge the accelerator if the suspension is adjusting while I'm stopped at a light or something — the groaning and creaking of the brakes when it's in "Hold" is an awful sound.

Just parking brake dragging on the rotor. No big deal.

I just took delivery of a 2022 R1T demo truck (VIN 10264) last Sunday. My father took delivery of his R1T (VIN 5852) in June of 2022. His truck used to be a lot clunkier and adjusted itself way too often (and inexplicably). The clunks seem to have been addressed by one or two service appointments (can’t recall if it was mobile or when it went to Chelsea, MA for a bad factory alignment, a number of little things, and a prematurely wearing seat bolster at around 10k miles). There were some early control arm torque spec issues, though his appeared to be fine when they checked.

Aside from the nearly 30k discount off a comparable spec 2023 or 2024 build/shop truck, I figured that it would be a safe bet to buy a truck that had spent its life so close to service technicians—whether as a loaner or a tool to sell the product at first drive events or in a showroom—either way, my thinking was that they would have sone their very best to sort any manufacturing issues and keep the thing in perfect mechanical working order (and that it likely would be the first truck to have any known early-VIN issues addressed as they became known). Meridian speakers, a working powered tonneau, and the extra 12V plugs were also nice perks.

When I took delivery I was in a hurry to get on the road due to an overtired toddler who needed a nap, the guy picking up before me being late, and the fact that the truck looked immaculate (so I didn’t feel like I had much to be worried about).

If someone had pulled up to me and told me that this thing was brand new off the line, I would have almost no reason to think otherwise (aside from one ~5mm paint chip on the drivers door edge). Paint, interior, wheels, powered tonneau, panel alignment, and everything else just seemed nearly perfect—or at least as good as I could expect. So I swiped up, and paired the truck by to my account, ready to hit the road (without a test drive).

I immediately noticed some clunking from the left rear over potholes and expansion joints. When I got back to Vermont, the clunking over washboards seemed a lot louder than I remember from my dad’s R1T. When my dad’s suspension clunked, it seemed to be coming from the front—this one seemed fairly isolated to the drivers side rear.

It wasn’t until I drove his to compare that I scheduled a mobile tech diagnostic—I suspect something either isn’t torqued to spec, or is in need of a bushing (perhaps due to not being torqued to spec). I also get half shaft clicking that his no my beer has). The soonest appointment for a service tech to go for a ride with me is in two weeks, which doesn’t seem bad at all.

My tire noise is a lot better than my dad’s R1T (his 20” ATs are howling at 17k miles for two of them, ~7k for the other two that got replaced due to a bad alignment from factory). His compressor seems a lot louder and possibly more active still.

I would recommend setting up an appointment and making sure you drive a tech around so you can point out the noises and listen together. If I didn’t have another truck to compare to, I might just think my clunks are “normal,” but I’ve heard and felt otherwise in a very similar age truck with nearly the same spec.

I will update after my mobile service appointment.
