I was looking at that too. I am unclear as to whether you're going to need a PPL to fly that or not. If so I don't want to go through all that work personally. I got to solo and that was enough for me. If it falls under ultralight rules where you don't need the PPL then I guess it's a possibility.

I read up on this about a week ago. Cool tech, but I have so many questions/reservations about this. I just think there are many, many ā€œdevil in the detailsā€ issues regarding the ability of an average person with no extensive pilot training to comprehend all the variables and factors of operating such a vehicle. Proponents will scream ā€œAutomation! AI!ā€ etc. but we canā€˜t even get FSD to work on designated streets in two dimensions. How well Is this going to work in three dimensions with wind and weather variables?

I’m not a licensed pilot, but I have several hundred hours of right seat experience in General Aviation aircraft, helping with navigation, radio, and hands-on-the-yoke flying at altitude. From the little bit I know, I don’t feel comfortable with these things in the hands of most people I know, flying over my car or house. Accident waiting to happen.

Good for well to do daredevils who like to drive at speeds under 25 mph I guess.
