Anyone get a trade in price yet?

I actually love this truck save for one issue; range. Namely the range in winter with a motorcycle in the bed. I don't think I'll manage 200 miles on a full charge in conserve mode, which makes it 175 from 80% at best. Making a few ~900 mile treks this winter with that kind of range is going to be tough. I might have expected it to be that bad in all purpose but not in conserve mode. It has started me thinking about going diesel again so I am curious, has anyone gotten a trade in price on their r1t from a dealer recently?

The way I’ve been seeing sales of R1Ts on the used market I’d be hard pressed to think you’d make any profit at this point after paying taxes and fees on a trade in. Possibly some $ on a private sale if it’s worth the trouble.

Really? I paid 60k after rebates, I am still seeing them for 85-90k at dealers.

A lot of variables for trade values, but here in the Nashville area I was being quoted 85-90k on trade for an F-150 Lightning Platinum.

I see MA in your location. Are you counting the MOR-EV Trucks rebate? Because you shouldn't be.

A couple of weeks ago I had to run to my BMW dealer to pick up some parts for my M2. Ran into a guy trading his Launch Edition R1T with 7000 miles on it. He said they gave him $84,000 towards the purchase of a X6M.

Try CarMax rather than trading in - they give ridiculous appraisals for EVs and the selling process is super easy. You’ll likely get several thousand more with CarMax than a dealer. Remember that CarMax is a national seller while a dealer only has the local market or they can send it to wholesale. Assuming you have the large pack with 21 road wheels, I’d guess CarMax would offer about $83,000+. You’ll have to take it into a location and let them look it over, but they’re still giving me $47,000 today for my Mach E that MSRP’d at $51,400 after delivery. The Ford dealer wouldn’t come anywhere near that number, and the online services - although closer to $47,000 - are more hassle than just getting it all done in an hour at CarMax.

As expensive as DC charging is getting, diesel is probably cheaper to drive and you won't get marooned trying to charge either.
