Apparently my truck turned into a brick this morning. I had 75 miles left but the moment I got into truck it said Critical Battery issue. It won't get into drive/reverse. After a hard restart, it started showing 1m 0% battery. It won't charge the truck. After 5-10 mins the screens have gone all blank. I can't do any resets (soft or hard) anymore. It just beeps all the time now.

By the way, I cancelled my C+ subscription yesterday, I have not received any updated after 2024.39.01. I did get 39.01 within an hour of subscribing to C+
Did you receive notification from Rivian for a 12v battery replacement?

Still waiting for the 2024.39.xx update. Service says I'm on tomorrow's push. But they also told me that on Wed. for Thurs.

With a lot of activity requiring the truck over Halloween and early November, when I do get the update notification, I probably won't install it until the following update is available. No sense in inviting trouble with no time to debug. Two years in a row, no Halloween for my truck. Thanks Rivian.

I didn't. I'm not sure exactly what's the issue. It seems like 12V issue. But Rivian is going to tow it on Monday and my appointment is on 11.5 so I'm going to miss the owl sound :(
Atm the port door is half way open and car doesn't lock. I messaged Rivian to see if they can do mobile visit or if we can do the 12V charge thing and see if it fix it temporarily.
I do have running boards installed and I don't want to take them off to send it to Rivian

I still don't have the update. Today, service told me that my vehicle is on hold for the update until they replace the 12v battery. That's the first I've heard of that. This is the third reason they've given as to why I haven't received the update. So, at this point, I'm not sure t if it's true.

I have a mobile appointment on Nov 4th for them to replace the battery but I'm trying to get into the SC sooner. Priority service would have been a lot more valuable than priority updates!

We purchased our R1S in March 2024. At the time we had access to Spotify, Tidal as well as other music applications. At that time it was a selling feature, now we have to pay for C+ if we want to continue streaming. Maybe I should have read closer to the features but silly me, it didn’t occur to me that Rivian would take functionality away that we were sold with our vehicle. Yes, I know we can blue tooth which means extra steps to restart my music app each time I get in the car regardless if it was just for a few minutes.

Per my conversation with Rivian:
1) This change to streaming had nothing to do with data rates or Rivian paying for the data to stream.
2) My feedback regarding the reduction in functionality would be logged and sent to the correct group for their information.
3) The senior advisor said she hoped that Rivian would sell functionality ala carte. Hopefully meaning you would only pay for new functionality and not to keep functionality that came standard on the car.

Bait and Switch…maybe or just a new revenue stream. Either way, I feel it was under handed.

Everything you posted is wrong.

1. They did not take away any functionality of the vehicle. All of the apps you mentioned still work fine as long as you provide internet access. This am be done by tethering your phone to the truck.
2. Yes, you should have done your due diligence to fully understand your $80K+ purchase.
3. This 'change' is 100% related to data fees. You must pay for internet access.
4. There was no bait and switch. This was fully advertised for years. If you didn't understand this was going to happen, you have no one to blame but yourself.
