I’m curious how other Rivian owners are handling parts sourcing and fitment outside the service center.

I keep seeing posts where people are unsure whether a specific suspension, brake, or body component is compatible with their R1T/R1S — especially when VIN ranges, revisions, or mid-year changes are involved.

On ICE vehicles it’s already frustrating, but with Rivian (and EVs in general) it feels like the stakes are higher: parts are expensive, returns are painful, and there’s less aftermarket documentation.

For those who have sourced parts independently:

  • Are you relying on service center confirmation?
  • OEM part numbers?
  • Trial and error?

Genuinely interested in how people are navigating this — seems like there’s a big gap between “will it bolt on” and “is it actually correct.”
