Any feedback from owners?

I'm trying to see if it's worth getting the max pack! I live in Denver and want to see if I can get to Steamboat and then to Silverthorne to the ea charger without issues during the winter. Total of 254 miles

Trying to avoid fighting for the few DC fast chargers in Steamboat.

Also hoping that with the max pack I could make a round trip with one full charge. 320 miles

From my experience putting 112,000 miles on my Model S, getting 254 miles of range in the winter is very unlikely even with minimal usage of the heater. Then factor in wind, a significant range hit if you’re driving through snow, and some degradation over the years, and I’d highly recommend waiting for the max pack if there are no level 3 chargers along the route. If there are, you’d be fine with a 10-15 minute stop to top off the battery.

So far it sounds like Rivians are handling the cold a bit better than Tesla vehicles, maybe it’s the bigger battery or their thermal management but so far no one is seeing more than 20% hit on the highway at 70-75mph in 20 degree weather.

If 320 mile trip on a single charge is a must have in all weather the Max pack would be required.

Even in perfect warm weather with no wind and flat roads you can't go 320 miles unless you are driving 40 miles an hour.

Do you own one? This is what I hear from Tesla owners TBH, the highway tests done so far are all over 310 with the 21s.
