There's a thread out there about this very issue! A few of us have experienced it and discovered that after each tire, you need to re-set and "re-confirm" the target PSI, you can't just hit "go" again and expect it to stop. I think it's a dumb design, but it's apparently "intentional."
It's been a while since I used the coiled hose, but it happened almost every time with the coiled hose vs sporadically with the OEM hose. Who knows what's actually causing it.

This is by design. It stops periodically to check the pressure while inflating. Remember, this is an inflator, not a compressor and is not designed to run continuously.
Maybe to some degree, but something is up with mine.

If I hold the hose a particular way, it doesn't cycle off at all. I could pump up a low pressure kid's bike tire (maybe 25psi) or a basketball (way less than that) and it could cycle off within the first 2 seconds until I wiggle the hose.

To be clear, this isn't cycling on and off every X seconds. It is doing it every 2 seconds unless I hold the hose a certain angle. Even then, if I breathe too hard (lols), it'll stop again. Frustrating.

Thankfully I hardly use it at all, but I should probably put in a service request before my warranty runs out.

The built-in compressor is great! I just wish the supplied hose were a few feet longer, so it would reach my trailer tires. I built up an extension hose that I can add to the supplied hose to inflate my trailer tires.

Relegate that hose to garage use. Replace it with a coiled hose that stretches to the length you need. Or, replace it with a 25’ coiled one, plus another. The 25’ stuffs into same space the factory 20’ takes up. And with the quick disconnect couplers it easy to add more length. Coiled hoses are less durable but nonissue if you don’t leave it to be run over. Ones with embedded reinforcement mesh are also available. They are not expensive. Way easier to put away than factory hose.

I still have this issue. Had to schedule service and when I drove it in the tech said this could be fixed by a mobile tech. Gee, if only the Rivian app offered that option! He’ll be here next Tuesday and told me via phone that was “not uncommon.” Has to add a part to extend the connection further away from the body. Of all the things that could go wrong this is small potatoes. Still, I don’t see why I should have to buy aftermarket hoses. I’d like to get what I paid for.

We've used ours way too many times. Got our 3rd puncture yesterday. Less than 12k miles. These 22" Scorpions are not up to grade for an adventure vehicle. Can't wait to get a set of Defender load range E tires.
