Anyone notice you can't change streaming quality on Spotify?

I was trying to help my FIL make sure his Spotify audio was set to the highest quality and while doing this, I found that neither of us can now change it. Nothing happens when you click the "music streaming quality" button.

Anyone else?

I think streaming quality is tied to your Spotify account settings. Log in on your phone or desktop, then go to your account settings.

I'm pretty sure this has been a 'bug' for a long time. The actual setting is hidden on the right behind the album art. I think.

Yep, it’s behind the album art. That’s sort of silly. Thanks!

Yeah, it's been like that for a long time. They absolutely could have fixed it by now.

The Spotify UI is all around poor, at best.

What I would love Rivian do is attach the Spotify profile to the phone. I say this because my wife and I have different tastes in music. After I drive, she has to log me out, and then log herself in, and vice versa when I get in the car after her.

Everything else is memory (seat, mirrors) but this isn't. Also, it would be nice to be able to move the Spotify play screen (when the map is being displayed) to the driver's side.

As others said, you can change the setting, but you need to swipe the artwork away to see it. I highly recommend changing the setting to "highest" to get everything you can out of your audio!

My gripes about the Spotify app in the Rivian are (unless I have missed something):
- It will blindly replay something already marked as played
- I have genres sorted by folder in the Spotify phone and PC app. Rivian does not show the folders, just the playlists, so it's a disorganized mess.
- There's no way to manually mark something as played in the Rivian UI.
- When I am playing a playlist, it randomly substitutes one random song for another. Spcifically, it played song #46 as listed, then played a totally different song instead of #47 that was listed, then played song #48 as listed.
- Sometimes "handoff" syncing between the phone and Rivian works, other times it does not.

This is all in addition to the generally poorly designed UI. Some horizontal lists scroll left/right, others don't, etc. Rivian developers need to read the Apple UI interface guidelines. Not implement the Apple UI, but read and understand Apple's explanation of consistent, logical, well thought out UI design.
