Audible downloads?

So I was playing with the new app and tried to download a book from Audible. I didn’t see a way to force a download, but it poking more icons on the screen I saw 2 settings for Audible. 1 was a slide to enable Spatial Audio. The other was to delete downloads and it showed I was using about 3 GB with another 78 or so available

I am thinking the books are downloaded and will be available when not connected via WiFi or cellular. What are other folks thoughts?

When listening to the Audible app in CarPlay (my Subaru) the book isn't downloaded - it's a passthrough to the Audible app on my phone. I hadn't really thought about the Rivian being it's own instance of Audible so it may not download it at all. It's probably more like just listening on a second device (tablet, watch, etc.).

Did it play the book? Sometimes (i.e. web version) you just hit play and it will start.

It does play when I touch start. I turned off WiFi, but of course cellular was on, so still not sure. I can download the books to my phone so I can listen when not connected.
