I have my R1S set to proximity lock at home. Approximately 40% of the time I'll unlock from my phone while standing next to the vehicle and it'll immediately relock as I'm reaching for the handle.

I've nearly had my fingers crushed multiple times. Now I unlock, wait 10 seconds then will quickly grab the handle and open the door.

Seems like it could potentially injure one of my kids if they immediately were to grab the handle.

Is anybody else having similar issues? Any fix besides disabling the proximity auto-lock? I've done a few soft resets and it doesn't help.

Crushed? Really?

I'm guessing you're issuing both a command to unlock and one to lock. Just hit it one time.

Yes crushed. Maybe you should holding the handle and hitting lock. Report back what happens. Maybe I'm naive, but is there a sensor to prevent the door handle from locking if any object is present? It pulls my hand pretty hard if I don't immediately remove it. I could only imagine what would happen if my 4 year old grabs the handle while it closes.

And I've eliminated the possibility that it's me hitting the lock/unlock icon twice by being extra careful to ensure it's done once. The problem still occurs.

I had mine in this week and this was one of the issues I asked them about. They said the truck is fine and placed the strange behavior on the iPhone 16. Seems strange that I can unlock the truck, place the phone in my back pocket (as it's easier while loading up the truck) and the thing locks.

My truck will also unlock itself when at home and I walk by it -- even though I have Auto Unlock off at home. I'll then get a panicked notice saying the Truck is unlocked.

Silly.

Glad to know it's not just me.

It's ridiculous that they're blaming the behavior on your iphone. I have an android.

Thankfully I don't have the auto-unlock issue you're experiencing. However I do notice that it sometimes doesn't Auto-Lock when I walk away. I'll just see the notification that my Rivian is unlocked.

Yeah, I believe it. I haven't had it happen for a while but I've had it several times. I think the last time it happened to me was with the pre-XMas software release. And yes, it was quite the pinch.
