We all got the Autonomy+ trial that ended after a couple of months a while ago. After it was supposed to end, I tried using it and confirmed that it wasn't working anymore. Rivian said it would stop and obviously I did not sign up for it. No problem.

Fast forward to yesterday. I'm on a several hundred mile road trip and I'm using the 'free' cruse control. At one point I somehow pull the stalk twice while activating the cruse. I immediately notice the steering starts feeling tighter/stiffer than before. Looking at the screens I realize the universal hands free has activated. Which is weird because I never signed up for it. Curious, I tried to a lane change on command and that did not work. So seems I now can use just the universal hands free.

Is this some thing that Rivian changed that I missed (very possible)? Or maybe a glitch that for once works in my favor?

I can't be much help as we had enough points to pony up the $2,500 but my understanding is that you should have UHF on mapped divided interstates, same as when you bought it.

OK, sounds like something that was always there. I was just unaware/unclear on the details. Thanks for the replies.

The only thing (at the moment) that you do not get without A+ is (1) hands free instead of hands on and (2) automatic lane change. If it allowed you to run hands free then yes you are getting functionality you did not pay for.
