I of course use a proto-type of our XL high lift magnetic jack puck for off road and unusual terrain situations where you need enough lift to get the rear wheel off the ground without a block of wood or other. The rear wheels require more lift, as the suspension cycling is greater than the front, requiring more height to get the wheels off the ground.

For me, it's so I can do a plug on the tire without removing wheel, and the 10T Big Red Bottle Jack from Amazon.

Not that I am biased ;), but as an early Rivian owner I rotate my own tires and have my own pucks for that purpose, as well as to give to my tire guys for new tires/wheel installs. I'm the sponsor of this section of the forum as well. We've sold thousands of our standard magnetic jack puck kits.

I guess I have the same question as OP. I was assuming my recovery boards with a built in Jack pad would be sufficient with the Rivian scissor Jack and puck. Anyone feel this is inadequate for R1S?
The Rivian puck and scissors jack gets by, but many do not like a scissors jack nor the contraption Rivian calls a puck. It is far less than ideal for an off road or for that matter, a tire change on the road.

The Badlands jack is a fairly decent floor jack, considering it’s from HF. If you want to get the best though, you get Pro Eagle Floor Jack.

For a bottle jack, the recommended Big Red 8 ton jack is also another decent choice, but if you want the best, you go for SafeJacks. They offer steel base plates as well.

Both of these options still require jack pucks. I’ve got Mark’s Magnetic Jack Pucks.
