Disclaimer: I was selected from @BestEvMod(AOSK) trial raffle. That said, I have bought a lot of aftermarket things for my R1S from multiple vendors (including them) and will be transparent.
Overall:
Pro’s: Good/frequent/fast communication and shipping.
Con’s: Wish it wasn’t made in China.
Windshield Sunshade
Pro’s: Easily foldable and takes up less space than my current rolled up sunshade (that ends up in the passenger footwell due to laziness to my wife’s chagrin). Case is useful
Con’s: It doesn’t quite cover all the way to the A pillar. While it has a neat cutout for a mirror, I haven’t been able to get it to fit properly (it’s tight near the mirror).
Cabin Air Filter
Pro’s: Pretty straightforward, the outside filter fabric is more durable than the one I’m replacing (on the right).
Con’s: Very very very minor, but putting “This side outward” vs “air inflow (with an arrow)” seems better/less confusing for the super amateur who is likely to put this in backwards. Again, just a suggestion for the newbies.
Lockable Center Console
This was by far my favorite product.

Lockable Center Console
This was by far my favorite product.
Pro’s:
- Does lock and shows it on the center screen. I did some moderate tugs to see if I’d break it. Could I break it? Probably. But for keeping the kids out of some things or adding storage, it’s just fine (just please don’t use it for your pew pews friends).
- Even with the cup holder accessory in the floor tray, there is decent space to put things in (you do have to take out the floor tray if you have it to take out the camp speaker and put in this tray). If you don’t have the cup holder accessory, it will obviously come out more until it falls out.
- DOES NOT RATTLE! with about 300 miles tested so far
- I like the dividers in the tray and that they are removable if you need to.
- (No fault of BestEVMod) I have no idea what to do with my camp speaker that I’ve used 3 times in 3 years….just isn’t that impressive.
- It is thinner plastic and likely can’t withstand intrusion by force (again, I didn’t test it to its limits; and this isn’t a big deal as you shouldn’t store things in here that need that level of protection).
