Binding Agreement switch

We are getting ready to buy the R1S. Looking at my 2022 tax burden - I realized I am not going to get the full $7500. My parent's (Same last name) do qualify for the full tax rebate. would it be possible to switch to buy the car in their name? Has anyone does this successfully? I know I should talk to my tax accountant. But, just checking to see if others have done it.

They didn't sign the agreement, so even if Rivian let you transfer it, the IRS wouldn't allow the credit to transfer.

Thanks for everyones help! Will take whatever my tax burden was for 2022. My accountant said I would get back around $5500. It would be more than the $3750 I would get in 2024.
