The workaround for hands-free is to initiate the request with your phone or watch. For example, you can say "hey siri" and as long as your phone (or better yet an Apple Watch) is within earshot it can be configured to listen to your request. If you're connected to the vehicle Bluetooth it will use the speakers to fulfill the request and provide audio feedback.I will try this. I’m open to any workarounds. How do I get handsfree back. Not sure why Alexa needs data to start a call with a contact on my phone.
Android has similar functionality.
