Camp Speaker Charge Status

Seems like sometimes I can see charge status and others that indicator is just missing in settings/connect/speaker display in truck.

Anybody figure out how to trigger it to get it to show?

It’s finicky in my experience. Sometimes pulling it out and reseating it will work but other times not so much.

Thanks. That is what I generally thought too, but at least the last half hour I can't get it to come up at all. Multiple tries and even resetted truck.

Maybe something they will improve someday....

I thought I saw that one time too, and then couldn't find it again. I had the speaker die one time even though it was in the console the whole time, and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't connect. Would be nice if there was somewhere to see the charge status at any time.

If the Camp Speaker is unused for awhile it will get “really dead” and not charge from the dock. Put it on a USB-C charger for awhile to let it come back to life and it will work and charge properly in the dock again.

Agree. That is what I am doing now, and it at least came back to life. Bummer that it becomes "really dead" while docked in the truck. Never really know if it will work when you want to use it or not, unless you keep checking on it, which isn't even easy to do.

It's just one complaint after another about this truck. Legit or not, I'm once again questing if I should wait and cancel my order. Not knocking you guys for bringing this stuff up...I'm glad you do.

I'm certainly not the most pro-rivian owner at the moment but this is a pretty minor annoyance. Pretty much every new car from any manufacturer is going to have them, just a matter of what's important to you.

I hear ya but there's no point in having a camp speaker if it's dead when you take it out of the dock. This just makes no sense.

Trust me...if I simply had to toss the Camp Speaker out and think of it like a tee shirt they gave me with truck....I would be good.

This and all my "complaints" are more suggestions. Even a few more significant issues...still want it drive it constantly and when it went in last time for creaking axles, I couldn't wait to get it back.

Always hope they pursue perfection, but even if my truck never changes from as it sits...I am more than perfectly happy!

I started hearing the camp speaker tell me that the battery was dying and for the life of me couldn't figure out what was wrong with my truck...hopefully they will improve the camp speaker charging experience but taking it out and charging it up via USB-C is a good idea.

Yes, that is what I had to do. Just odd that it would some how drain while being docked constantly.
