I was searching for the something that would work as a divider to prevent items in the cargo area from going into the passenger area in case of accident and such. Still nothing found yet (almost like a pet divider?) but did come across a cargo divider. Is this a new accessory?

I just got mine today. I will look to return it. It's pretty useless. The height is only about 6 inches high when installed (a dimension they helpfully don't provide in the gear shop). So it can't really contain anything of any height. Also, per the symbols on the device, the cargo should be contained against the seat instead of against the tailgate, which means it's also useless if you don't have your third row seat raised (which is also odd because the photo in the Gear shop has grocery bags secured against the tailgate, and given the height of the cargo divider those grocery bags in the photo must be tiny).

I'm not clear on the use case of this accessory. Will be returning.

This 'divider' has been available as a Mopar item for several years. The pins on the ends of the vertical pieces plug into the hole in the top of the hold downs that slide on the tracks in the R1S cargo area. It will kind of work to hold say a suitcase or a box from sliding around but honestly, I'd use a cargo net or bungees. It IS (IMHO) worth buying a second set of hold downs if your R1S came with just two. With four you can do a nice job with bungees (in an 'X') or a cargo net. Most cargo nets have hooks in the corners that clip into the ring on the hold downs. If that's not tight enough you can also use pins like these ( I make and sell them or you can print your own from my files, link here) and stretch the net over the flange on the top.
