Center Console Cup Holder Tray stuck in locked position

The cup holder tray on the front center console on my R1S doesn't pop out anymore. It's stuck in the closed position.
I logged a service ticket and Rivian SC wants to charge me ~$400 to replace it.
Has anyone met this issue before? Can I solve it myself?

This is interesting, we just picked up our R1T two weeks ago, and the first time I tried to open the cup holder I had to push it inward, then give it a pretty strong pull to get it to pop out.. Is your R1S also new'ish? I'd try a good push/pull before paying that to replace it!
