I think Rivian will implement leasing to help alleviate costs to buyers. They are waiting to go through more of the R1S backlog.
I see zero chance of a price decrease in the near future. I keep saying I think they will increase the price of the Quad to push people into the Dual motor models which I bet are much cheaper to produce. I could see a de-contented model but I think that might just add more complication to the build line as more parts would be added.
