Changes to the Rivian app?

I've noticed some changes to my Rivian app and I'm wondering if I was just asleep at the wheel or it's something new. Now I the app I can set my charge level while charging, and I can change gear guard settings right from the app. Turning it on and off.

Version 1.8 of the app released out a couple of days ago.

Version 1.8 of the app released out a couplE of days ago.

And to expand upon that, the functionality was added on the car side with the recent Halloween update but the feature wasn't active because it needed version 1.8 of the app. Once 1.8 was released, the features became accessible.
