Question regarding setting a climate temperature via app (iPhone). Isn’t the app climate control setting suppose to maintain the set temperature indefinitely until the battery gets too low?

R1S 2nd gen was plugged into 110v supply and charging in 100 deg direct sun.

I wanted to keep the inside from overheating so I went to the app and started climate control to cool the inside. It started fine and cooled the inside, but about a half hour or hour later when I checked the app the climate control was shut off and inside was over 125 deg again.

I know I can set pet mode from inside the truck to maintain temperature, but I want to be able to activate the HVAC from the app and have it maintain until shit off.

is it a glitch with my vehicle, or is this the Gen 2 behavior with h the latest SW release?

I could not find anything in the manual about how the app works with the HVAC.

thanks
Frank

Not a glitch...it only runs for about 15 minutes. Seems like the app used to state that. FWIW 125deg inside temp isn't really anything to be concerned about for an empty vehicle. That would be the same for every other vehicle in those conditions. I've seen 135 during my three Alabama summers with the R1T. Having it cool for 15 minutes as I walk to get in has always worked well.

Thank you for reply. Then I assume the same would happen for scheduled cooling via the app (HVAC would only run for 15 min)?

I recall reading that there is a form of cabin protection for temperatures that is not a user setting. Something like 135 being the max before the car auto sets climate depending on battery state.

I think this was mentioned as a planned feature on the software roadmap.
