Compressor Blow Off when adjusting height

Hi All!

I just received my R1T this past Friday. I'm honestly still on the fence with the vehicle but will drive it more before making a decision. One question I do have, is the compressor blow off sound (pshhhhh) normal when adjusting suspension? It's loud and my R1T sounds like a big rig or a bus when auto leveling or lowering the suspension from a higher setting. In addition the fact that it levels by itself, it has startled my wife a few times already.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Ill grab a video this afternoon.

Yes, it's only when going down. I was comparing to the decompression sound that you get from a bus or big rig. Is your blow off loud?

It's definitely audible but it's not loud enough to surprise. I'm not that jumpy though.

Understand that but just wondering if this is normal, i.e. others have the same experience. My Tesla was so much quieter.

Seems louder than mine, but hard to tell on my phone.

Definitely louder than any other air suspensions vehicle I’ve experienced. I agree, it sounds like a bus when it’s kneeling.

Set an appointment at the service center 2 weeks out. Was gonna wait since everything else was just small but this just accelerated me contacting them. Thanks everyone for the responses!

That sounds too loud, imo. I can hear mine, but it’s not loud. Your video makes it sound LOUD. I wonder if a hose isn’t connected or some silencer/resonator/muffler piece is missing?

From what I can tell it seems louder than mine. I went from off road to sport to compare and it was quite a bit quieter and surprisingly quick.

I have not noticed mine make that much noise while lowering, seems much quieter.

Open a service ticket via the app and attach a short video clip so service can hear it and diagnose.

Industrial pneumatic systems have a muffler on the exhaust port(s). That sounds EXACTLY like an industrial pneumatic system with no muffler.
