Costco Connect insurance, are you willing to risk it?

Wow...I can not believe some of the insurance premiums quoted here. I am aware that premiums vary by location, but so much?
We are in Delaware (which does not have the best reputation regarding drivers) and are insured with State Farm. For two drivers State Farm charges us $532 per half year. I am actually considering upping the deductible for Collision to $2000, which would bring the premium below $500.
Somebody mentioned to contact an independent insurance agent for some quotes. I believe that it would be well worth one's time and effort.

Update on my hunt. Looks like Costo Connect Insurance ended up being almost $200 more expensive than Nationwide. Guess that doesn't work for my circumstances.

For me, Connect was about $700/6 mos. Cheaper than Rivian/Nationwide. Go figure. In fact, my 6 months premium for my R1T + a 1999 Isuzu Trooper is about the same as I was paying through Progressive (last 6 months) for my 2014 Toyota FJ + the Trooper. Progressive just tacked on about $250/6 mos. to my FJ/Trooper premium Maybe because they had to replace the FJ windshield. See ya Progressive.

I also just moved to Connect due to very high quotes with Travelers and Nationwide. I do not have any experience with them regarding claims.

Nationwide - went from $1100/6 months to $1800/6 months
Travelers - quoted $1500/6 months
Connect - $800/6 months

Maybe this question belongs in a new/different thread. Are there extra/special benefits in using Rivian/Nationwide insurance? If so are those same benefits available when obtaining coverage directly through Nationwide?
