Is that the guy that snapped the frame on the CT pulling an F150 out of an obstacle?
(I can’t bring myself to watch these YT videos)

I think the frame snapping is suspect. They did the tow test right after this:

I think they cracked the frame first, then tried to tow.

Ah ok. Thanks for sharing that. I only saw the short video of the towing on Reddit. Without seeing how hard of an impact that was, it’s hard to say. Banging the back end like that is a pretty common occurrence when off-roading, shouldn’t be enough to crack a frame from my experience??‍♂

If people actually plan on rock crawling these things, that really isn't that far fetched of a test. Seen plenty of videos where trucks slide off a obstacle and slam down onto a rock. At least if it is a steel frame that cracks or breaks, it can be welded or jerryrigged enough to get you out. The angry mob test was probably the most realistic test of them all with the elections coming up. I'm actually really surprised how well the truck did after being abused so bad.

That was a hilarious video, I'll give 'em that.

Kind of glad they didn't get their mitts on an R1S for this as it would scar my soul to see a perfectly sound R1S mistreated like that.

I don't know, the episode in which he identifies and confronts the neighbor who zoinked a bunch of his random stuff from his storage containers was both entertaining and educational. Plus the $500k reward he put up for the stolen skidloader has me ready to drive to Argos, Indiana.

I’m no CT fan… but that just seems ridiculous. Honestly the CT is a fun innovative vehicle with quirky design language, and I’m jealous of tonneau cover….

But Rivian is just more my speed.

The "tow test" isn't a part of their testing.
The F150 was stuck so they used the CT to pull it out, and that's when this happened. Earlier in the video the CT was stuck and they used the F150 to pull it out.
